Waihee Ridge, part 2

Nearing the top of the ridge, this painted eucalyptus tree has a perfect spot in which to spread its boughs in a lovely formation.  Stop and place a hand on the smooth, warm trunk:  feel the energy running down, into the ground and out into a network of roots.  Feel your own 1st chakra energy spread out in its deep connection with Mother Earth and her unlimited supply of unconditional love.

From the edge of the path, you can see down into the lush Waihee Valley floor.  You can hear water rushing along in the streambed.  Let your eyes go soft as you gaze down into the valley:  you can see outlined in the contours of the greenery a giant person laying in the valley floor.  He is there, sending a message of Joy and communion with nature.  Take a deep breath, and let that joy fill up your lungs and heart.

Walking back down the path, the ocean beckons from far below.

A beautiful ‘Ohi’a Lehua tree blossom lights up the trailside, reminding us of the connection we made in our root chakra to Mother Earth.

Let us pause one last time and look at this fern modeling for us an open heart.  The giant joy in the valley is again reflected here in the tiny miracle of an unfurling fern.  Place one hand on the heart and one hand over the pubic bone area:  feel the heart chakra and the root chakra cycling this joy and loving connection back and forth between you and the Earth.
