Welcome to Cade’s Cove

Come take a drive with me through Cade’s Cove in the Great Smokies of  TN – one of the most popular mountain destinations in North America.  Feel the inpouring of light from these ancient and amazing mountains as you look upon them, and it is easy to see why.  My guides asked me to bury a crystal under the tree in this picture; part of establishing a new grid of crystalline energy that is to be woven here.

Enjoy the profusion of Black-Eyed Susans blooming at the edge of the woods along the Cove Loop Road.  Like pinwheels of power, these happy Ones offer a gift of balance to the third chakra.  Breathe their energy into your belly.  After exploring just this first tiny part of Cades Cove (like a delicious appetizer), we’ll now head down Rich Mountain Road into Townsend.

We never encounter another car down the miles of road into Townsend…a quiet, hot August woodland.  Along the way, we’ll stop to enjoy the beautiful view.

Looking out over the Oaks and Pines, down at Tuckaleehee Cove, it is easy to think of the settlers who crossed these mountains and made homes in the Coves, and before them, the Cherokee.  In the stillness of this day, we hear only birds and perhaps some louder rustlings that may be one of many black bears that happily still make their home here.  Spend another moment or two to feel your feet sink into the ancient ground of this place, and let us offer up a prayer of gratitude for the Parks and other places on earth that still hold this kind of precious shelter and diversity.
