Ripening Seeds for Flight

Echinacea

This late fall purple Coneflower has delighted butterflies all summer. Now she ripens her seeds to send them out on the fall winds.  Her sphere of seeds glows gold in the afternoon sun, hinting of rich future potential.

Overhead, leaves have dropped from trees to reveal other sacred shapes framed against the sky…

Goldenrod looks like he has donned a furry coat for the change of season.

As you gaze at this Milkweed pod, feel inside of you for what husk is ready to fall away, releasing your inner gossamer seed that is poised for flight upon the next wind.
