Dog Days of Summer…

Hydrangea Bush, Indian Neck, CT

Banks of heavy-headed Blue Hydrangeas are one of the signals that the Dog Days of Summer have arrived.  Sirius, known as the Dog Star, is responsible for the expression.  He is the brightest star in the sky, rising at sunrise, 20x brighter than our Sun and 2x as large.  His blue-white radiation has been a powerful energy for Earth and the source of many legends and much folklore.  Mystery schools considered it the “sun behind the Sun” and the home of humanity’s great teachers.  As such, it illuminates our spiritual world, as the Sun illuminates the physical.  Sirius aligns with the Queen’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza and was associated with the Goddess Isis by the ancient Egyptians.

During this time of increased heat ~ both physically and energetically ~ it is important to take time each day to slow down…breathe…put aside whatever agendas and thoughts are buzzing around in your head…and be in the body.  Feel the rise and fall of your chest, as well as your belly, with the gentle flow of your breath…and gaze at this globe of flowers.

Hydrangea, “Owenego Inn”, CT

She is an entire universe of loving flowers, united as One.  Invite their loving presence into your heart, to meld with the unconditional love that dwells there in you….allow these colors of white, purple and green to softly balance the solar flare ~ dog day energies within you.  Take a few moments to In-Joy….before returning refreshed to whatever task is at hand.  (I recommend your first task be the one described below.)

(*Mayan greeting:  “In you I see another me, in me another you.”)

– In honor of the energies of Sirius and Summer, there will be a series of “Dog Day Doses”.  In addition to the annual inpouring of the Sirian Energies, we are in a heightened period of solar flare activity, and astrologically it is a volatile time in the extreme.  All of this is, of course, in perfection with the unfolding of our Evolutionary Process.  Since it is also pretty challenging at times, it is more important than ever to look for integritous ways to receive the support you need, as well as offering it to others, when possible and appropriate.  We are being asked to open our hearts further than before in all these matters.  This begins with increasing the flow of Love to yourself.  Return to the flower globe above, and spend another few moments to accomplish this most important and heartfelt task.   Sending hugs to all of you!

Yes, “In-joy!” What a revelation and insight you give that will forever change how I hear and perceive that word. And so it will ripple out into the universe. What a gift! Thank you so much. You are such a blessing. In Lalk’ech. Mary
