Sacred Grove Walk

Here in the early hours of an August morning in Palmyra, NY, come take a walk with me on the trails of  The Sacred Grove.

Farmstead

Amble past the old farm fences, and enjoy the sun burning off the heavy morning mist in the cool of the morning.

Joe Pye Weed

Stop on the foot bridge to look at a procession of Joe Pye Weed hanging lushly over the brook.

The Sacred Grove, Palmyra, NY

Enter The Sacred Grove, and gaze up into the green canopy where a young man experienced the visions that led to the beginning of the Mormon religion.

Come further in….see what unique vision of your own the Light may bring to you in the stillness of the woods.

In Lak’ech*  –  Denine

(*Mayan greeting:  “In you I see another me, in me another you.”)

– Joe Pye Weed is a wonderful indigenous plant that grows in much of the country.  It will draw butterflies to your yard and spreads easily.

– I write this from Loretto Maryholme Retreat House, in Ontario, Canada, where I am holding an EP Practitioner Retreat.  It is the New Moon in Leo: a time to play, and embrace the creative energies of Leo for your own new beginnings.
