From Fear into Faith

This monument stands in the Iao Valley Gardens here on Maui in recognition of the sacrifice and contribution of the hundreds of thousands of  Japanese people who came to Hawaii starting in the late 1800’s as contract workers in the sugar cane fields.  Many of their descendants are involved in every facet of Hawaiian culture and life.   Now, as the Japanese people are persevering through incredible challenge with great courage, it seemed fitting to open today with this honoring.

As I walked in the woods of the sacred Iao Valley yesterday, I was guided to make a combination flower essence to serve as a remedy for fear.  The Iao Valley has a history that has exemplified the great swings of duality:  it housed a community where families of Hawaiians lived in communion with nature, and it was the site of a battle where so many were slaughtered the river ran red.  Over the years, many people have worked and performed ceremonies to heal, balance and honor the place.  Today this sacred valley is a much beloved state park.  The Iao Valley holds a beautiful balance of yin and yang energies.  The spring water is fresh and pure: people come to collect drinking water here.  The “Fear into Faith” flower essence was made in fresh Iao Valley spring water.

There are six white flowers from the valley in this mix.

White Begonias – holding us in loving saftey;  Wild White Sweet Peas – protecting the heart;

Kukui Tree Flowers – the knowing that we are never truly alone as a beloved member of the human family;

2 unidentified from the woods:  a ground cover white flower – cushioning energy sending us Mother Earth’s love;

another tree flower with a canopy of white stars for flowers – invoking the ability to stand upright in absolute knowing of heavenly connection;

Native White Hibiscus – bringing a beacon of light illuminating any darkness.

Spend a few moments whenever needed to feel the blessings of these flowers and the Iao waters flowing into you and through you, both strengthening you and allowing you rest.

Please join in a worldwide healing for water appeal by Dr. Masaru Emoto, the Messenger of Water.  At noon (your own time zone) on Thursday, 3/31/11, he asks us to say the following prayer 3x:  “The Water of Fukushima Nuclear Plant, we are sorry to make you suffer.  Please forgive us.  We thank you and we love you.”  Do this holding hands in prayer position and with your heartfelt sincerity and love.  (Together, we absolutely have the power to improve the situation.  Please join in.  You might wish to hold the vision of the Iao water purity infusing the waters of Japan with your prayer as well.)
