Come down to the pond with me in the stillness of the early evening and pay respectful regards to the swans. Â This mated pair patrol the rock where their two children are resting.
Swans are totems of awakening to the true beauty and power of the Self. Â Their graceful necks symbolize bridging the head and the heart ~ the higher realms to the earthly body.
The fading light gives us further evidence: Â the clouds in the refection of the sky in the water are forming a heart. Â Take a deep breath…cloak yourself in swan energy….float on the waters holding the heart, and feel how your beauty dwells within your heart, informing you of new powers.

Sister Denine – Thank you for the gorgeous photos and lovely message, “awakening to the true beauty and power of Self.” Perfect birthday gift! Love you…
Reminds me of a poem by Rilke which speaks of the awkwardness of the swan walking on land until he gets into the water and movesfrom awkwardness into a state of grace.
Karen – Yes! I know that poem – the swan carries so many metaphors and messages for us….love that I am back close to them again. XO d
